chilling!
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
I read this book at the age of 13. My uncle was a pyschologist, and I was going through his books, trying to find something good to read. I started reading it, scared but intrigued, and read until I found out what was wrong with this little girl. When I got to the end, I nearly threw up.
Let's just say I didn't sleep for four months, for I had visions of children being sexually abused and made to chop heads off cats dancing in my head. Although I lost a lot sleep, I am glad that this book was written, and this little child was able to finally get help. Definitely read this book, knowing that it will take you out of your comfort zone, but if you know any thirteen year old children , keep it away from them.

A MUST-READ for any C++ developer.
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Paperback
As a C++ instructor, I spend a lot of effort searching for good books to recommend to my students. *Effective C++* and *More Effective C++* are two books that I think every C++ developer should own. The writing style is fantastic and the presentation of the material is very approachable. The topics [see below] are arranged as "Items" that are organized around particular programming ideas instead of language features. The material is suitable for many experience levels: beginners to experts. Easy Decision for Today: Just Buy It

Grafton is Still Going Strong
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Mass Market Paperback
I've read all of the Alphabet series books, and there are some I like better than others. "Q is for Quarry" isn't my favorite, but it's still a good read. Maybe it's me, but I'm a little tired of the ongoing theme with Kinsey's family. I like Kinsey alone and edgy, independent and brassy. I think Grafton does this genre better than any other author out there and will always read her books. She's an intelligent writer with a good sense of story who provides great characters. She manages to stay fresh with each book, something a lot of bestsellers can't seem to manage. She's tops in my book!
