My favorite children's book
Rating: 5/5

I was first introduced to MRS. FRISBY AND THE RATS OF NIMH as a fourth grader back in the early eighties. The teacher would read aloud a chapter a day and we would follow along in our own copies. Ever since then I have adored this book and at 27 I recently bought myself another copy of it to occasionally re-read and enjoy. The story is fantasy at its best. It is also extremely thought-provoking. My favorite part of the book is Nicodemus' description of the rats life at NIMH and their eventual escape. What a great novel!Don't bother with the Disney movie, "The Secret of NIMH" however. It was boring and silly.MRS. FRISBY AND THE RATS OF NIMH belongs on every child's bookshelf!

Have you ever seen my younger sister eat 8 frogs? Well in the book My Little Sister Ate One Hare she did. The author is Bill Grossman. This guy's little sister ate tons of nasty things. This book is funny in some sorts of ways but mostly nasty that is what's cool about this book. The author tells you to never eat nasty things always eat good things. Read this book to find out if she eats ten peas.

I'd like to say this is a magical, and mysterious book that I think is the second best of them all!! Rose and Martin are my favorite characters. I gave it five stars because that's what it deserved. The only part it needed to improve on was the very end, the saddest part of the book!! I am a very big fan of Brian Jacques and I've read every book exept Marlfox, I'm waiting for it to come out in paperback.

Tom Clancy is, without any doubt, the best writer of the 20th century. I own all of his books. He keeps you on the edge of your seat, deeply engrossed in every word. There is no let up to the action or excitement. I'm a speed reader, and the only complaint I have is that he doesn't write more books per year. I'd buy every one of them. He's the only author I'd invest in hardcover copies of books. And I have every one of his!

This is the second novel I've read by David Baldacci and I have to say that I never wanted to put it down. It kept me trying to figure out who the killer could possibly be and what the motives were - I was completely wrong! Even at the very end when the "twist" was revealed, I was stunned! Sean King and Michelle Maxwell are the perfect team - each complimenting the other. I highly recommend this book for all mystery buffs who consider themselves "super sleuths." Looking forward to reading his next novel.

Elixir - A Brilliant Novel
Rating: 5/5
Binding: Hardcover
This novel is definitely 5 star reading. It is brilliantly executed to keep your interest intense. I feel as though I know each main character personally. This is the type of complex novel that highlights the authors genious of imagination. Some of the unexpected turns are astounding, such as some of the puishments handed out by Antoine and the revelation of what sister Jenny is up to with elixir. That was a totally unexpected outcome. One of the most exciting novels I have read in a very long time.

When Harry Steadman is murdered, Inspector Alan Banks and his officers are called in to find the killer. Because the murdered man was a genial professor, Banks has a great deal of difficulty finding anyone who might be a suspect. Everyone seemed to genuinely like Harry Steadman. When a young girl is murdered because of what she knows, the search intensifies and when the murderer is unmasked, everyone is stunned. The second mystery in Peter Robinson's series features an interesting mystery and an appealing main character.

I think that this is the best book R.L. Stine ever wrote. I would recomend this book to anbody, all of my friends have already read it. If you are going to read this book then be sure you have enough time to read it all, because you won't be able to put it down.I think it is actually one of the scarier books I've read, I also think it is one of the saddest books by R.L. Stine. But over all this was the BEST book I've read.

Absolutely Essential Reading

This book is wonderful! It is down-to-earth, practical, easy to read and thorough. All of her tips are very do-able, and she never implies that her way is the *only* way (or even the *best* way, for that matter). The author encourages readers to take their own personality, family size, lifestyle, etc. into account and work from there, instead of trying to achieve some Martha Stewart (aka Impossible) ideal. I highly recommend this book.

This was no doubt the best book I've ever read. I read this 400+ page book in three days. I COULD NOT put it down! It was amazing! I cried for the Jews in the book. She made it seem like you were a part of it. I loved it. And, I get to speak with the author, because she's coming to our school next year, and I can't wait! I would recommend this book to ANYONE..even if you don't have an interest in the Holocaust. I didn't either, untill I read this book. It's absolutely amazing. Words can't even describe it!
