Great writing conquers all!
I was persuaded to try COLD IRON even though I don't like rock music, don't like urban fantasy, and don't like "private eye" stories...Surprise! This book smashed all those prejudices! I liked the heroine immediately (she's as much of a curmudgeon as I am...and incidentally she hates being called a private eye: it's private INVESTIGATOR). Then the compelling writing and razor-sharp wit kept me reading eagerly to the end. I look forward to the next book by Melisa Michaels no matter WHAT genre it's in!

Everyone who doesn't like this book seems to be offended by its depressiveness or offensiveness or something. If you think life is a romp in the flowers then don't read this book. If, however, you are mature enough to read a book that actually has some unpleasant and uncomfortable elements in it, then you will LOVE She's Come Undone, because it also has funny, insightful, and wonderfully uplifting moments. When I finished the book I felt truly satisfied. Dolores redeems herself and my faith in humanity. This is a beautiful book. And don't blather about "wasting my money on this trash." Check it out of the library.

Very episode like but still good entry
Binding: Unknown Binding
Book 5 in a series of 7. Edmund and Lucy(Peter and Susan don't return in this one) are joined by a rather irritating cousin, Eustace, as they travel into Narnia by a painting. There, they must help King Caspian find his exiled ancestors. There they sail to various islands and its perils, such as the invisible people, an island where water turns everything to gold and where dreams come true. At the end, they reach the end of the world where one of the travellers must go into Aslan's country. While it's told very episode-like like you would see on tv, it's a delightful read and has some great characters

The firepower of Excel unleashed for business decisionmaking
Dr. Hesse unlocks the firepower of Excel for Quantitative Analysis purposes. Using combinations of functions and functionality, he shows you how to perform decision analysis, linear programming and a host of other advanced business decision tools using the same simple spreadsheet platform that most people use for simple addition. True, it may not be the EASIEST read in the world, but using Dr. Hesse's methods could save you from purchasing dedicated analysis software that you may not need. DEFINITELY worth a look...
